Transport will play a vital role in the development of any region, said Shadnagar MLA Veerlapalli Shankar at the inauguraral ceremony of the new committee of the Lorry Owners Welfare Association for the joint mandals of Kondurgu and Chaudhariguda. The MLA lauded the continuous contributions of the lorry owners and workers, emphasising their indispensable role in public life.
The event, attended by key community leaders, including former Market Committee Vice Chairman and Lorry Owners Association State Vice President Syed Sadiq, Kondurgu Mandal Party President Krishna Reddy, and Chaudhariguda President Raju, marked the official formation of the new committee.
Other notable attendees included PACS Chairman Chittem Damodar Reddy, Star Transport Head MD Khader Gori, former Sarpanch Yadaiah, and Youth Congress Leader Purushottam Reddy.
During his address, MLA Veerlapalli Shankar expressed his gratitude for the services of lorry workers, acknowledging the challenges they face in their daily operations. He assured them of his unwavering support on behalf of the government, recognizing their contributions as essential to the community’s well-being and economic growth.
Syed Sadiq announced the formation of the new Lorry Association Committee, with MD Abed appointed as President, Mohammad Khalil as Vice President, Sharfuddin as General Secretary, Asif as Joint Secretary, Ibrahim as Treasurer, and Nazim Shafi as an executive member.
