MLA thanks KTR for releasing Rs 30 crore

Local legislator Gandra Venaktramana Reddy on Sunday conveyed his special thanks to IT and Municipal Administratin Minister KT Rama Rao for sanctioning on the spot Rs 30 crore, when urged to release Rs 50 crore, and asked the town municipality to ground development works.

Addressing media here, the MLA conveyed his special thanks to CM KCR and Health Minister T Harish Rao on behalf of the people of the district for sanctioning medical college and an Ayush College.

He said that several development activities would be implemented in the municipality with the sanctioned funds. He reminded that the junction beautification works at the Ambedkar Center are under waywith the corporate social responsibility funds.

A survey would be conducted with the help of a private agency for development of an Outer Ring road, he said adding that construction of District Collector’s office is at a rapid progress so that the CM  would be able to inaugurate the building in the last week of August. As per the GO No.76, house site pattas would be distributed among the Yadava residents of Subhash colony here.

The Telangana formation day would be celebrated on a grand scale from June 2 to 21 as per the directions of the CM, he said.

He condemned the mud-slinging campaign of the Opposition parties on the allotment of 400 quarters tot he SCCL workers.

Beautification works of the second phase of the 2 BHK houses is under way in the district, he said hinting at handing over the units to the beneficiaries after selecting them in a transparent procedure.

ZP Chairperson Gandra Jyoti also thanked KTR for releasing funds to the town municipality.

Seveal elected people’s representatives and BRS functionaries were present on the occasion.
