The High Court has postponed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) inquiry into the BRS MLAs’ poaching case to February 28.

BRS MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy’s counsel asked for more time to file a counter to the ED’s charges. Considering the request of Rohit Reddy’s counsel, the HC postponed the hearing to February 28.

It may be recalled that Rohit Reddy had filed a petition in the High Court objecting to the ED inquiry into the MLAs’ poaching case.

It may also be recalled that the BRS MLAs’ poaching case reached the CBI after the High Court’s single bench ordered transfer of the case to the CBI from the SIT.

But the State government approached the High Court Division Bench, which made it clear that only the Supreme Court has the power to intervene in it.

The State government then approached the Supreme Court and requested it to cancel the High Court verdict handing over the BRS MLAs’ poaching case to the CBI.
