Nominations for the upcoming elections to the Legislative Council seats in Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahbubnagar, Teachers’ constituencies 2023 began on Thursday.
Five nominations were received by the Election Commission at the GHMC head office on the first day.
Katepally Janardhan Reddy, (62), has been nominated to contest as an Independent from the Khairatabad Assembly Constituency and Anwar Khan, (65), to contest from Karwan as an Independent.

Bujanga Rao, (60), has been nominated to contest as an Independent from the Medchal Assembly Constituency and Gurram Chennakeshava Reddy, (63), has been nominated to contest from the Ibrahimpatnam Assembly Constituency as an Independent.
MLC elections are scheduled on March 13 as some sitting members are retiring. Nominations will be accepted till February 25.
