MLC offers to address hostel rooms issue

MLC Balmoori Venkat on Thursday paid a visit to Nizam College to meet UG students who protested for change in the allotment of hostel rooms.
 After interacting with the students, the MLC said, “UG students are demanding that the entire hostel be allotted to them. But PG students want 50 per cent of the rooms to be allotted to them. If the problem is to be solved, two more floors will have to be built for the existing hostel. This problem could not be solved due to the lack of sincerity in the previous government. The previous government did not take proper care of the education system and the students. Since the last five or six years, the construction of the building has not been done.”
“We will take this issue to the attention of the Chief Minister and take a decision to construct the existing building or to construct two more floors. I will also interact with the Deputy Chief Minister regarding the budget. The current government will work hard for a permanent solution to this problem. Moreover, I request both UG and PG students to solve the problem without getting stuck.PG students should be generous as all UG students are newcomers from Telangana,” he added.
