Civil Aviation Research Centre coming up in city

Union Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy said the Centre will set ing up the Civil Aviation Research Organisation (CARO) at the Begumpet Airport here at a cost of Rs 400 crore and added that it is a gift to Telangana by the Modi government.
He said the Centre is setting up CARO with state-of-the-art technology and a green rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment–5 (GRIHA–5) standards for the first time in India. He said that work is going on fast so that services can be started next December.
In a statement issued on Friday, Kishan said the Modi government has been striving for the development of Telangana during the last eight and a half years. The Centre is setting up CARO with high standards as part of it and works are going on under the supervision of the Airports Authority of India as per international standards. Research would be carried out here on tech changes in the Civil Aviation sector, Kishan said.
He said CARO would have facilities for research on airports, air navigation services, air traffic management communications, domain simulators, network emulators, visualisation and analysis labs, surveillance labs, navigation systems emulation and simulation labs, cyber security and throat analysis labs, data management centre, project support centre, software solutions and tools centre and a network infrastructure centre.
