The mythological epic Kannappa is gearing up for its grand release on June 27, with Vishnu Manchu in the title role. Veteran actor Mohan Babu, who plays a key role and also produces the film, addressed the audience at the pre-release event in Guntur.
“This is only my second time in Guntur. I first came here many years ago and I feel emotional returning with Kannappa,” he said. Reflecting on his journey, Mohan Babu shared, “I came from a below-middle-class family and reached here through hard work. I believe in discipline and I never fear anything if I’m right. That’s what I teach my students at Mohan Babu University. Many of them are now IAS and IPS officers.” Praising Prabhas, who plays an important role in the film, he added, “Prabhas is a very generous person. His support for this film is invaluable.” Kannappa is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, with Preity Mukundan playing the female lead.
