Mohanlal’s upcoming film with Anoop Menon promises an emotional journey

Mohanlal, one of the most iconic actors in the Malayalam film industry, continues to build an impressive legacy with his 45 years of dedication to cinema. The actor is currently busy with his next project, L2: Empuraan, a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. In a recent update shared on his official Facebook page, Mohanlal revealed exciting news about his upcoming project, which will be helmed by renowned actor and director Anoop Menon. The actor shared that the film is deeply personal to him and will be extensively shot in locations such as Thiruvananthapuram, Shillong and Kolkata. Mohanlal described the project as a ‘dramatic journey traversing love, longing, and music,’ adding that it holds significant meaning for him.
The film will be produced by Timeless Movies and Mohanlal posted a photo with Anoop Menon and his team on Facebook, showing his enthusiasm for the project.
This upcoming film marks Anoop Menon’s fourth directorial project, following his work on King Fish and Padma in 2022, as well as Nalpathukaarante Irupathonnukaari in 2023. Fans are eagerly anticipating what fresh and intriguing perspective Anoop Menon will bring to Mohanlal’s character in this highly anticipated film.
In addition to the exciting new venture with Anoop Menon, Mohanlal is currently working on L2: Empuraan, the sequel to Lucifer.
