Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has announced a month-long door-to-door campaign titled ‘First Step in Good Governance’, beginning 23 June, to showcase the NDA coalition government’s achievements in its first year. The initiative aims to reach every household across Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing TDP MLAs, MPs, senior leaders and grassroots workers in a teleconference, Naidu unveiled an action plan for the ‘Vijayayatra’ (Victory Campaign), calling for active participation from all party members. The campaign will promote key welfare schemes and counter opposition misinformation, particularly regarding women and the ruling alliance.
He emphasised the need to complete party organisational committees and urged leaders to reward committed workers. Leadership training camps are scheduled to begin in July. MLAs have been instructed to remain closely engaged with the public.
The Chief Minister also reviewed preparations for International Yoga Day on 21 June, with a target of 2 crore participants across the state, including 5 lakh in Visakhapatnam. Advance sessions are to be held in one lakh locations on 14 June.
