District Collector V Prasanna Venkatesh directed the medical officials to provide more medical services in a better manner to the people through the health centres.

Collector V Prasanna Venkatesh held a mandal-wise review meeting on the progress of government schemes through a district-level video conference with CHC Superintendents, Tahsildars, and MPDOs here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector asked the CHC superintendents mandal-wise about specialist doctors in the CHC, monthly deliveries, CHC’s new buildings, and other issues related to the medical department. He also ordered them to complete delivery targets in government hospitals.

The Collector inquired about the performance of CHC centers where deliveries are being recorded less. He directed the DMHO and DCH to take steps to set up boards in each hospital to demonstrate the photos of specialist doctors and their complete details under the CHC. The Collector directed the APMSIDC official to complete the CHC new buildings at the earliest and make them accessible to the public.

The Collector asked the officials to paste the posters on the vehicles of the family physicians giving the information of the respective doctors so that the public would be aware of the services provided by the respective doctors and thus more deliveries would be performed in the government hospitals instead of going to the private hospitals. The superintendents of the respective hospitals were asked by the Collector about the problems in the CHC.

The Collector also reviewed the land resurvey and stone plantations undertaken in the district and he expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of mandal tahsildars who did less stone plantation.

The Collector gave clear instructions to the Tahasildars to complete the land resurvey work by August 31. He reviewed the re-opening applications at the district level in connection with Jaganannaku Chebudam-Spandana programmes and inquired about the reasons for them from Tehsildars and MPDOs.

The officials should follow the government guidelines and provide endorsement to the applicant to avoid reopening applications, the Collector instructed the officials. He also reviewed the Mission GER works and the progress of Nadu-Nedu works.

DRO AVSN Murthy, DRDA PD R Vijay Raju, Agriculture JD Y Ramakrishna, DMHO Dr.D Asha, DCH Dr. VR Mohan and CPO Srinivas were among those who were present.
