More police cases will make better leaders: KTR

Must read

KTR urged the BRS Labour Wing to intensify its moves to hold the Congress Government accountable. Those who have more police cases and annoy Revanth Reddy more will become leaders, KTR said.
“You must remind the people of Congress’ 40 unfulfilled promises, and relentlessly expose their failures over the next four years,” he said.
Promising full legal and organizational support from the party, KTR encouraged the wing to elect dynamic leaders who can challenge Revanth Reddy and the Congress leadership effectively.
In an address at the BRS Labour Wing Diary Launch event held at the Telangana Bhavan, BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) hailed Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) as a pro-labour leader, while launching a scathing attack on the Congress government for its alleged failures in governance and anti-labour policies.
KTR highlighted the achievements of the KCR-led government in uplifting the working class, particularly pointing out the significant strides made in ensuring welfare and rights for labourers across the state.
“From addressing hamalis’ (manual labourers’) concerns within the first 15 days of assuming office is to increasing their wages from Rs 8 to Rs 26, KCR’s governance has been unmatched in its focus on labour welfare,” he stated.

He emphasized KCR’s contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic, terming him the only Chief Minister in India who assisted 35 lakh migrant workers with financial aid of Rs. 1,000 each, meals, and special trains to return to their homes. “Even though these workers were not from Telangana and couldn’t vote for him, KCR stood by them as a leader with a heart,” KTR added.

He also highlighted KCR’s efforts to extend PRC benefits to contract and outsourcing employees, a step unparalleled in India. “No other government, including the Congress, dared to implement such progressive policies,” KTR asserted.

KTR criticized Congress leaders, accusing them of mismanagement and hypocrisy. He said, “When Congress handed over the state in 2014, Telangana had Rs. 72,000 crore in debts and limited infrastructure. Today, under KCR’s leadership, Telangana boasts a per capita income of Rs. 3.56 lakh and a budget surplus.”

He accused the current Congress government of borrowing Rs. 1.4 lakh crore in a year without initiating any significant welfare programs. “What has Revanth Reddy achieved with this debt? No new infrastructure, no farmer welfare, no benefits for women or workers,” he asked, urging the public to question the misappropriation of funds.

“This is not just Telangana Bhavan; this is Telangana Janata Garage. We are here to fix every problem and fight every battle for the people,” KTR concluded
