Movie industry didn’t respond on Gaddar awards, says CM

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed disappointment over the lack of response from the film industry regarding Gaddar Awards. During the Vishwambhara Dr C. Narayana Reddy National Literary Award function held at Ravindra Bharathi, he called on the film industry to come out with proposals to support the awards.
Revanth lauded the immense contributions of C. Narayana Reddy as a poet, Vice-Chancellor and Rajya Sabha Member. He noted that Narayana Reddy’s works made the entire Telugu community proud and highlighted his inspiring journey from a remote area.
The Chief Minister emphasized that Narayana Reddy’s life remains an inspiration to many and his deeply immersive works are remembered even today.
The Chief Minister announced that the government would soon decide on a suitable commemoration for C. Narayana Reddy and assured state support for publishing his works.
Revanth also mentioned that despite previous announcements about presenting Gaddar Awards akin to the prestigious Nandi Awards on December 9, there was no response from the film industry. He urged film industry personalities to come forward with proposals regarding the Gaddar Awards.
Revanth congratulated the literary award recipient and Tamil author and Saraswati Samman awardee, Shrimati Sivasankari. The event was organized by the Sushila Narayana Reddy Trust on the occasion of Dr C. Narayana Reddy’s 93rd birth anniversary. The event saw the presence of several dignitaries and literary figures.
