MP Adala Prabhakar Reddy appreciated the district official machinery for successfully conducting the famous ‘Rottela Panduga’.
A programme was organized in the AP Tourism Park on the occasion of the conclusion of Rottela Panduga here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the MP said that in view of the past experiences, review meetings were conducted with the authorities in advance to successfully organize the Rottela Panduga festival this time without any shortcomings, and the results of the festival were the reason for the success of the festival on such a large scale.
The officials of all the departments worked diligently and the committee members were especially appreciated for serving the devotees with great commitment.
Municipal Commissioner Vikas said that the Nellore municipal corporation had spent Rs 3.50 crore to organize the Rottela Panduga grandly and to provide all facilities to the lakhs of devotees.
The Commissioner informed that arrangements were made for shower baths and waterproof tents were erected for the devotees to ensure that they would not face any problem in case of rain, adding that special attention was paid to sanitation management.
The commissioner further said that the Rottela Pandu was successfully completed with the cooperation of the officials of all the departments and thanked them. The MP, Commissioner and Joint Collector felicitated Dargha committee members on the occasion.
Joint Collector Kurmanath, ASP Himavati, deputy mayor Roop Kumar Yadav, Dargah festival committee chairman Ismaial Khadar, vice chairman Mastan, Wakf board chairman Meera Mohiddin, town planning officer Devika Rani, minority welfare officer Nirmala devi were among those who were present.
