Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lok Sabha member from Medak M Raghunandan Rao has said that the benefits of the welfare and developmental schemes of State and Central governments should reach eligible beneficiaries on time. It would yield good results. He asked the district officials to ensure that the schemes reach the target groups 100 per cent.
He was chairing the District Development, Coordination and Monitoring meeting held here on Wednesday.

Asking the officials to take steps to complete the development of cement concrete roads and other works as early as possible, the MP asked the officials to ensure that the labourers engaged by the District Rural Development Agency are paid at least Rs 300 each per day.
Expressing concern over the excessive use of plastic glasses and sachets at small hotels and tea stalls, he asked officials to search alternative materials to the plastic. MLC Yadava Reddy asked the officials not to plant saplings under electric wires. He asked the officials to plant fruit-bearing trees in forests to prevent monkeys raiding villages and give publicity to Sadaram camps in villages.
