Senior YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and Machilipatnam MP Vallabhaneni Balasouri, resigned from the party after realising that he is not going to get the party ticket either for Lok Sabha or the state Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.
Balasouri sent his resignation letter to party chief and chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, stating that he was quitting the Lok Sabha membership and the party. Balasouri was given the hint last year that he might not be getting the ticket.
He has been in regular confrontations with local MLA and former minister Perni Venkatramaiah (Nani) and the high command pulled him up for picking up quarrels with Nani.
Through his Twitter account, he confirmed his intention to join the Jana Sena party led by
Pawan Kalyan soon.
