MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) met Dr Sameer Vikrant, Chairman of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), at the DRDO Bhawan in New Delhi on Wednesday. During the meeting, the MP presented Tirupati Prasadam to the DRDO Chairman as a token of respect. The two leaders held discussions on various issues related to the defence sector.
MP Sivanath proposed the establishment of defence production industries in and around Vijayawada, which is part of Andhra Pradesh’s new capital region, Amaravati, to promote industrial development. In response, Dr Sameer Vikrant expressed a positive outlook and assured that the proposal would be considered favourably.
