Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath has swung into action to ensure that food is distributed thrice a day to the people of flood-affected areas in the city. On Wednesday morning, he came to Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium and supervised all the work to avoid any delay in the distribution of food to the victims. Water bottles, milk and breakfast needed to be provided to the victims were sent in lorries and tractors.
Along with Ministers P Narayana and Kollu Ravindra, he checked the lorries. The collector’s office staff and municipal officials acted vigilantly and speeded up the work.
Ten lakh water bottles, four-and-a-half lakh tiffins, and two lakh litres of milk were moved from the IGMC stadium to the flood victims division wise. Food was also supplied to the flood victims of Jakkampudi Colony in Mylavaram constituency. MP Sivanath ordered the officials to ensure that there is no delay in distributing food to the victims in the afternoon and evening as well.
