MP, MLA lay stone for Gurudwar Road in city

MP Kesineni Sivanath alias Chinni has stated that he, along with MLA Gadde Rama Mohana Rao, will strive to resolve the stormwater drainage issue permanently in many colonies in Vijayawada. On Thursday, he laid the foundation stone for Gurudwar Road, estimated to cost Rs.40 lakh, at Gurunanak Colony.
MLA Gadde Rama Mohana Rao and Vijayawada Municipal Corporation 4th Division Corporator Jasti Sambasiva Rao played a key role in sanctioning Rs.40 lakh from the VMC for the road, he said.
Further, he assured the people that they would strive to resolve the stormwater drainage problem in the city. The previous YSRCP government neglected the stormwater drainage system in the city, he alleged. The MLA said that due to the negligence of the previous YSRCP government, many roads in the city are inundated even in small rain. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is paying special attention to the development of Vijayawada city. Within a short span the city will be developed as the best one in the State as well as in the country, he claimed. TDP NTR district vice-president Ch Ramana, Gurunanak Colony president Hari Mahendar Singh Sahani, Gurudwar Singh Sabha president Kamaljith Sing, Rajamani, Kirpal Moni and others were present.
