MP promises to develop MBP Stadium

Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath alias Chinni has promised that he will work on developing the Makineni Basava Punnaiah (MBP) Municipal Corporation Stadium located at Ajith Singh Nagar, along with Vijayawada Central MLA Bonda Uma Maheswara Rao. The present condition of the stadium is not suitable for practice. Measures will be taken to level the ground, he added.
The MP visited the MBP Stadium along with MLA Bonda Uma Maheswara Rao on Wednesday. He spoke to the stadium officials and players regarding the condition of the stadium.
Speaking to the media later, he said that MLA Bonda and he were jointly striving for the development of the MBP Municipal Corporation Stadium. Increasing the ground level is required as water is stagnating on the playground during the rains. The stadium will get more infrastructure facilities to help athletes, he added.
Vijayawada Central constituency Telugu Mahila president D Udaya Sri, 61st Division TDP president D Durga Rao, State organising secretary N Sambasiva Rao and others were present.
