Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath officially inaugurated the much-anticipated Road Under Bridge (RUB) at Madhura Nagar in Vijayawada on Friday, alongside Vijayawada Central MLA Bonda Uma Maheswara Rao. The MP and the local MLA unveiled the plaque at the construction site.
Speaking on the occasion, MP Kesineni Sivanath stated that the coalition government is committed to the development of the central constituency, highlighting that numerous development projects are being initiated in coordination with both the Central and State governments. He mentioned that several pending works related to the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) and the Railways had been delayed for a long time. Railway officials have been instructed to liaise with VMC officials to expedite the completion of these projects. A joint committee has also been formed with representatives from the corporation and railway officials. Regarding the land issues faced by the railway department in Madhura Nagar, he assured that he would engage with railway and VMC officials alongside MLA Bonda Uma soon.

He stated that upon the NDA government’s return to power, the construction of the RUB was completed and promptly opened for public use.
MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao expressed that the long-standing dream of the people of Madhura Nagar has finally been realised. He noted that he had laid the foundation stone for the RUB during the TDP regime, and its inauguration is taking place under the NDA government. He also mentioned that the construction of a flyover near Gunadala, which had been halted, will be completed with the cooperation of MP Kesineni Sivanath, who will coordinate discussions with railway officials. Additionally, steps will be taken to construct the RUB at Vambay Colony.
