Former minister and Kapunadu leader Mudragada Padmanabham on Friday dared Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan to contest against him from Pithapuram Constituency in the next Assembly election, if he does not accept the challenge of YSRCP MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddy on contesting from Kakinada.

In a three-page open letter to Pawan Kalyn on Friday, Mudragada said that agitations had been held by Kapu community leaders since the days of former Congress MLA Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga Rao and he led the Kapu reservation movement, but Pawan Kalyan had never participated in the programmes.

In a second letter to the actor-turned politician, Mudragada has come out openly expressing his desire for re-entry into active politics once again and to contest in the election. He attributed his wish of contesting election to Pawan Kalyan’s provocation.

Mudragada said that he is happy to note that Pawan Kalyan and his JSP workers’ personal criticism gave him a lot of encouragement and strength and created an atmosphere prompting him to be prepared for the election battle, at a time when he was in an embarrassing situation whether to be in the election arena or not.

“I hope that Pawan Kalyan in the influence of `Che Guevera’, should have the guts and be courage in fulfilling my wish either contesting from Kakinada against Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddy or from Pithapuram against me’, Mudragada reiterated.

Mudragada also asked Pawan Kalyan to take a decision to contest from Kakinada as demanded by Kakinada city MLA. “If Pawan Kalyan does not have the guts to contest from Kakinada, he should take a decision to contest from Pithapuram,” Mudragada said.
