Mulayam Singh Yadav statue to be unveiled on July 9

The statue of Uttar Pradesh former chief minister late Mulayam Singh Yadav would be unveiled on July 9 at Kaja village near here.

All India Congress Committee (AICC) member and leader of Backward Classes Kolanukonda Sivaji told the media here on Thursday that Mulayam Singh Yadav was the symbol of BC castes as he had strived hard for their uplift.

“The statue of Mulayam Singh Yadav will be unveiled at Kaja village, near here on July 9. The statue is being installed there by the BC welfare associations’ leaders. A public meeting will also be organised after unveiling the statue,” Kolanukonda Shivaji said.

Taking a dig at the ruling YSRCP, Shivaji alleged that dummy posts were given to the BC leaders in AP, at the same time, plum posts were given to the influential leaders.

Kolanukonda Shivaji deplored that the BC study circles have not been increased, new BC hostel buildings have not been constructed and hostel mess charges have not been increased during the last few years in the YSRCP regime.

Shivaji also expressed anger for giving too much importance to Telangana leader R Krishnaiah in AP. BC leaders Botta Madhu, Kesana Sankar and Lanka Venkagala Rao Yadav also present.
