District Collector P Prashanthi directed the officials concerned to take steps to make multipurpose centres available at the earliest.
District Collector P. Prashanthi held a meeting with the District Level Implementation Screening Committee at the District Collector Chamber of the Local Collectorate on Monday and discussed the construction of multipurpose facility centers. On the occasion, the district collector said that the Kharif crop will be harvested in the next two months and before that, the godowns should be made available.
The Collector directed the officials to take steps to complete the infrastructure in 5 godowns which have already been completed, adding that if the platform constructions are fully available, it will be convenient for the farmers to dry the grain.
She said that the land required for the construction of the rest of the godowns should be acquired quickly and the constructions should be taken up at the earliest.
Bills related to the completion of the construction of two godowns at Sherepalem, Ramannapalem, Panditavallur PACS under Mogalthur PACS and one godown at Panditu Vallur were approved in the committee meeting. The Collector directed the officials to ensure that DCC Bank pay the bill amounts at the earliest. The Collector also asked the officials to grant loans to Amul Dairy Farmers.
District Cooperative Officer M. Ravikumar, District Agriculture Department Officer Z. Venkateswara Rao, District Horticulture Officer A. Durgesh, DCCB CEO Sridevi, NABARD representative T Anil Kanth, APCAB DPDM Tulsidas and other officials were present.
Meanwhile, Collector Prashanthi held a video conference with the officials and reviewed various issues including the construction of Houses in Jagananna colonies, Government Buildings, implementation of the National Employment Guarantee Scheme, GGUMP, Handicraft Grounding, Jagananna Todu, and Nadu-Nedu works. Speaking on the occasion the Collector inquired about the mandal-wise progress.
She expressed impatience with the officials of the mandals who were lagging behind in achieving the target. In the already completed houses in West Godavari district, the basic facilities should be provided by the time of housewarming, she directed the officials.
She also instructed the officials to complete the electrification, internal roads, and drinking water works expeditiously. The concerned officials and staff should work hard in a coordinated manner to complete the construction of houses that are under construction at various stages, she said.
Collector Prashanthi ordered the officials to acquire land for setting up digital libraries and complete the rest of the government buildings at the earliest. Joint Collector S Rama Sundar Reddy and DRO K Krishnaveni were among those who were present.
