Must read

To stop the officials from demolishing their houses for Musi Riverfront Development Programme (MRDP), residents are displaying flexis that they have protection from the High Court. The residents mentioned the writ petition numbers also on the flexis.
As the revenue and other officials marked the structures at Musi riverbed for the MRDP, some residents knocked High Court doors against the officials. Justice K Lakshman of the Telangana High Court heard a batch of petitions over the MRDP. In a petition, the court ordered that as of now, there is no threat of demolition in respect of the subject property of the petitioner. The respondents will follow the due procedure laid down under law before taking action, if any, against the petitioner herein, including demolition of the petitioners’ structures.

A petitioner told the court that the officials marked the petitioners’ houses with RBX and threatened to demolish the constructions at Phanigiri Colony in Kothapet. So they prayed the court pass an order to direct the officials not to demolish the constructions. The court will hear all the petitions on October 16.
