Must not fall into BJP’s trap

Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Rural Water Supply Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao said that due to the non-release of funds by the Centre TS is facing some financial problems.

The Centre said that they are not giving us Rs 1,100 crore. He criticised the Centre for blocking the Rs 1,100 crore as the Telangana government spend Rs 151 crore to build a threshing platform for small and marginal farmers.

Officials and Sarpanchs should understand the matter. He said that the Telangana government is the only government which is giving a grant equal to the grant given by the Centre. “Sarpanchs have been given lots of power. Some Sarpanchs are falling into the BJP’s trap without recognising the work done by the government and is spreading lies against the government,” the Minister said.

He said that after the Telangana government came the funds received by Panchayats in the last eight years were not received even in the last 50 years.He suggested that authorities should create awareness on this matter. Errabelli said he had directed officials that panchayat roads should be like a mirror without potholes and that all damaged roads should be repaired.

Chief Minister KCR recently reviewed the roads in the state and ordered to improve roads and keep them free of potholes.Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, who has been conducting reviews met the Superintendent Engineers of all districts in the minister’s chamber at the Rangareddy Zilla Parishad office on Saturday. After that, a video conference was held with the Collectors of all districts, Additional Collectors, Zilla Panchayat Officers, Mandal Panchayat Officers and DRDO officials.

After the Telangana government came, officials were ordered to provide boards in every panchayat with details of pensions, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak, KCR Kit, the beneficiaries of the main schemes in a village, the amount received every month and the total amount received by that village after Telangana formation.
