The three much-anticipated movies, Gangs of Godavari, Bhaje Vaayu Vegam, and Gam Gam Ganesha, have been released in theatres on Friday. Amongst the buzz around all three, Anand Deverakonda starrer Gam Gam Ganesha has got even more hype because the actor’s last release, Baby, gained an unexpected response at the box office, giving him the biggest hit of his career.
Anand, known for his diverse roles, plays the lead role in this movie, co-starring Pragathi Srivastava and Nayan Sarika. This comedy-action thriller, produced by Kedar Selagamshetty and Vamsi Karumanchi under the banner Hy-Life Entertainment, marks the directorial debut of Uday Shetty, who promises an entertaining cinematic experience with Gam Gam Ganesha.
Anand Deverakonda shared insights into the movie and its making in a quick interview with us, where he shared, “After Middle Class Melodies, during the lockdown, I began planning my next venture. That’s when I came across the script for Gam Gam Ganesha by director Uday Shetty. The script’s premise, revolving around greed, fear, and conspiracy, intrigued me, reminiscent of the crime comedies I enjoy watching.”
Speaking about the challenges, and the film’s journey, Anand explains, “The shooting faced delays due to various factors, including the second wave of COVID-19 and logistical issues. Despite setbacks like the collapse of our set due to heavy rains, we persevered and completed filming.”
Known for his relatable characters, Anand embraces a new dimension with Gam Gam Ganesha. He shares, “Unlike my previous roles, this character is energetic, hyper, and comedic. It’s a departure from my usual ‘boy next door’ image, and I’m excited for audiences to see this different side of me.”
Director Uday Shetty’s vision brings the story to life; as Anand affirms, “Uday has crafted an engaging screenplay featuring fifteen main characters, ensuring a captivating narrative. His direction brings out the best performances from the cast, making Gam Gam Ganesha a promising venture.”
