Singer Rakshita Suresh, Ponniyan Selvan 2, had met with a car accident on Sunday while returning back to the airport in Malaysia. On the same day, she took to her Instagram to share the news with her fans and revealed the details of the car crash. Thankfully, Rakshita, her driver, and the co-passenger have survived with only minor injuries.
While sharing the detailed note of events on her Instagram and Twitter, she added that it was a major accident. According to her Instagram post, her car crashed into a divider while going to Malaysia Airport on Sunday morning.
“Met with a major accident today. The car that I was in rammed into a divider, and smashed to the side of the road while I was heading back to the airport in Malaysia this morning. My entire life flashed infront of me during those 10 seconds of impact.. Thanks to the airbags, otherwise things would’ve been worse. Still shaking from whatever happened, but I’m so glad that me, the driver and the other co-passenger who was sitting in the front seat are safe with just minor external injuries and a few internal injuries. Grateful and lucky to be alive,” read the note.
She further said that had it not for airbags saving her, the accident could have been fatal. Rakshita revealed that the accident left her shaken, and her entire life flashed before her eyes within 10 seconds.
The singer expressed gratitude for her safety and told her fans that all occupants of the car received some minor interior and exterior injuries.
She added an evil eye amulet emoji along with a folded hands one in her note.
In Ponniyan Selvan part 2, Rakshita Suresh gave her melodious vocals to the Kannada song Kirunga.
Earlier, she sang Sol in the Tamil Version of Ponniyan Selvan 1.
Rakshita entered the world of entertainment after winning the reality singing show Little Star Singer in 2009. She began to sing for films in 2005 and has many hits to her name.
Previously, Vikram who plays the lead in the Ponniyan Selvan franchise also got seriously injured while shooting for another film. As per the reports, he broke his rib and has thwarted work commitments for recovery.
