Naidu confused over doing politics in TS or Andhra: Sajjala

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has alleged that TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has the habit of cheating people. Speaking at a media conference here on Thursday, Sajjala said that Naidu is on Telangana ‘yatras’ only because of the upcoming elections. He has no clarity on any issue and the people do not believe his ‘Two Eyes’ theory.

Sajjala said, “Naidu is confused over which State to do politics in. He was active in Telangana till 2014. Suddenly, he changed his mind, so should first explain to the people why he says TDP is back in Telangana. What kind of experiment Naidu wants to do as he owns a house and a vote in Hyderabad? It is good if he wants to serve the people of Telangana, but he has the habit of playing with the people at the time of elections and thinking that politics is a game.”

He said that CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has clarity and served the undivided AP before bifurcation and now he has decided to serve the truncated AP. Sajjala said that Naidu should tell people what kind of clarity he has on this matter.

He had experimented with Congress in the past, now somehow he is trying to make them feel that if BJP joins hands with them in Telangana, it will benefit TDP. Thus, Chandrababu is taking steps for an alliance with the BJP in Telangana and extending it to Andhra Pradesh as well which was amply clear in the Khammam meeting.

Sajjala lashed out at DL Ravindra Reddy saying, “He acts according to Naidu’s directions and we don’t think that he is in YSRC. On the other hand, when DL says that Naidu will save AP, it is clear that the script is given by Naidu.”

Finding fault with the TDP for criticising the distribution of tabs, Sajjala said, “Tabs are worth Rs 500 to 600 crore. The content is provided by Byjus for free. The TDP leaders shamelessly talk about the corruption of Rs 1,400 crore without knowing anything. A standard company Samsung has come forward in the process of tenders. We also negotiated for reduction in the amount quoted by them,” he added.

Sajjala clarified that the Centre did not say anything about the TDP as projected by TDP-friendly media on Kapu reservations. He only said that the decision is up to the State government. If there was a chance to give 5 percent reservation then Naidu would have implemented it. At that time, the Supreme Court gave clarity saying reservation should be given on the basis of economic criteria and not on the basis of caste.

He alleged that the Opposition parties are portraying Palnadu as Chambal Valley, a Taliban kingdom, and inciting hatred. It is a conspiracy by Naidu with the evil intention of destroying Palnadu. The YSRCP government will not allow such a thing to happen. Palnadu is always peaceful and will remain peaceful under the YSRCP regime.

“We cannot do anything if we interpret Nirmala Sitharaman’s words as they wish. The YSRCP government is not advertising excessively at the national level. We are talking about the schemes here according to the procedures laid down by the Centre,” he clarified.
