TDP leader Nara Chandrababu Naidu, addressing a gathering on Monday, underscored the challenges faced by a senior IAS officer under the Land Titling Act, painting a stark picture of the common man’s plight. He referred to the difficulties encountered by retired IAS officer PV Ramesh earlier in the day regarding the registration of his land.
Naidu revealed that he faced legal repercussions for bringing attention to the flaws in the Land Titling Act, daring the State government to take any possible action against him. He said that Chief Minister Jagan’s cancellation of 198 projects in Rayalaseema must be rectified, with the embezzled funds rightfully benefiting the people.
In a symbolic act, Naidu set fire to copies of the Land Titling Act and Pattadar passbooks featuring CM Jagan’s image, expressing confidence in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) securing victory in all 52 Assembly segments in Rayalaseema. He noted the opposition even within Jagan’s constituency, Pulivendula, suggesting the CM’s growing frustration.
Union Minister Amit Shah clarified that the alliance was formed with the sole purpose of ousting corrupt governance, combating thuggery, and ensuring the completion of the Polavaram project for Rayalaseema’s water supply, along with Amaravati’s development to generate employment for the youth.
Naidu compared Jagan to infamous historical figures such as Hitler, Bin Laden, Kim Jong-un, and the Taliban, known for their similar behaviours.
Touching upon the mistreatment of a Member of Parliament (MP) in police custody, Naidu condemned CM Jagan’s apparent delight in the MP’s ordeal. Recalling his own experiences of being arrested at midnight without assurances of safety, he questioned the fairness of such a system under Jagan’s administration.
