Chief Minister and TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu held a teleconference with party MPs, MLAs and key functionaries, reviewing both government programmes and party-building initiatives.
He instructed that all party committees, except the state committee, be constituted by May 18, and announced that the party’s annual conclave, Mahanadu, will be held in Kadapa from May 27 to 29. He also reaffirmed that all pending nominated posts in various corporations would be filled shortly.
Praising the relaunch of the Amaravati Capital City works, Naidu remarked, “The grand event drew national and global attention. I commend the tireless efforts of our workers and leaders who made it a success despite challenging weather.” He added that Amaravati stands as a symbol of pride for the five crore people of Andhra Pradesh and will emerge as a world-class city providing employment and business opportunities.
Highlighting the government’s development agenda, Naidu noted major investments flowing into the State, from green energy hubs in Rayalaseema to industrial parks in Orvakal and Kopparthi. He said the Lepakshi-Kopparthi Corridor, MSME parks in 11 constituencies, and plans to expand them across all constituencies are part of a broader industrial drive. He described the Centre’s sanction of Rs 11,400 crore for reviving the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and the creation of a long-awaited railway zone for Uttarandhra as major milestones. He reiterated that the Polavaram project will be completed by 2027. On welfare, Naidu said pensions are being disbursed on the 1st of every month, 16,347 teacher posts have been notified under the DSC, and more than one crore people are benefiting from three free gas cylinders under Deepam-2.
Fishermen families have received Rs 20,000 each, and the Annadata scheme will be launched this month. Under Thalliki Vandanam, students will receive Rs 15,000 before schools reopen.
Reaffirming his commitment to the party’s Super-6 promises, the CM urged leaders to actively take these developments to the public. Stressing the importance of social justice, he said nominated posts were being filled accordingly and party organisational elections were progressing. Naidu also warned party cadres to remain alert to the YSRCP’s “baseless criticism” and advised them to respond effectively while staying connected to the people. “We’ve brought back stability and restored people’s trust within a year. Now, we must build on this momentum,” he said.
