Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday unveiled a transformative development blueprint – the Swarna Andhra Vision 2047 – at the CII Annual Business Summit 2025 in New Delhi, inviting industry leaders to collaborate in building a $2.4 trillion economy for Andhra Pradesh by 2047.

Outlining a range of ambitious initiatives across technology, infrastructure, energy, and human capital, Naidu announced that India’s first Quantum Computing Centre would be operational in Amaravati by January 2026. Developed in collaboration with TCS, IBM and L&T, the centre will focus on innovation in healthcare, energy, manufacturing, and cryptography. A Global Leadership Centre is also planned in Amaravati to nurture future entrepreneurs and political leaders.

Under the Integrated Clean Energy (ICE) Policy 2024, Andhra Pradesh is targeting Rs 10 lakh crore in green energy investments by 2029 and a renewable energy capacity of 160 GW — a significant contribution to India’s national 500 GW target. Naidu highlighted key ventures, including NTPC-NREDCAP’s Rs 1.85 lakh crore hydrogen hub in Visakhapatnam and AM Green’s ammonia plant in Kakinada.

The Chief Minister also announced a new Hi-Tech Industrial Corridor in Rayalaseema, running from Lepakshi to Orvakal, focused on drones, defence, satellites, and automobiles. The corridor is expected to attract Rs 5 lakh crore in investments within a year and generate 4.5 lakh jobs.

“India is now the fourth-largest economy and is soon to be the third. From here, our real competition is with China and the USA. We must be ready,” Naidu said, urging Indian industry to enhance innovation and product competitiveness.

Introducing the “P4 Model” — Public-Private-People Partnerships — Naidu called for inclusive development, where wealth creators mentor and uplift disadvantaged communities. “We must treat people as capital, not liabilities,” he added, invoking the legacies of B.R. Ambedkar and A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

He reaffirmed that Amaravati remains central to Andhra Pradesh’s future, announcing that Phase I of its development — including world-class infrastructure and an international airport — would be completed within three years.

Citing major investments that reflect growing investor confidence, Naidu mentioned ArcelorMittal’s Rs 1.43 lakh crore steel plant at Anakapalli; BPCL’s refinery at Ramayapatnam in partnership with Saudi Aramco; TCS’s Rs 1,370 crore facility in Visakhapatnam creating 12,000 jobs; and LG Electronics’ Rs 5,000 crore plant in Sri City, expected to generate 10,000 jobs.

Reiterating the state’s commitment to ease of doing business, Naidu assured, “Once you commit, site allocation and permissions will be granted in record time.”

He also stressed the importance of skill development, healthcare, and rural upliftment, highlighting collaborations with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, plans for 175 industrial parks across all 175 constituencies, as well as major tourism infrastructure and agri-based industrial zones.

“This is a great nation, and we have a great leader in Prime Minister Modi,” Naidu concluded. “Let us build Andhra Pradesh into one of India’s most prosperous and innovative states. I seek your support and partnership in this historic journey.”

The address concluded with a standing ovation, signalling strong industry support for Andhra Pradesh’s bold new vision.
