Naidu, Pawan combat ready To contest Telangana Assembly poll

Before taking on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy in the AP Assembly elections, the TDP and the Jana Sena want to enter the Telangana Assembly.

The alliance between the TDP and the Jana Sena is almost certain. They are only waiting for the BJP to join their alliance. But the BJP leadership has concluded that Pawan Kalyan will go with Chandrababu after breaking ties with the BJP.

Both TDP Supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena President Pawan Kalyan have decided to contest the Telangana Assembly elections. The Telangana Assembly elections will be held six months before the AP Assembly elections.

Jana Sena President Pawan Kalyan has already announced that his party will contest around 30 seats in the Telangana Assembly elections.TDP supremo Chandrababu is also concentrating on Telangana and has already launched his moves with the Khammam public meeting held recently.

Pawan has fans in Telangana also and the TDP has some activists all over TS. The TDP, Jana Sena combo will have some impact in Hyderabad, Nizamabad, Khammam, Nalgonda, Adilabad and Warangal districts.

If the BJP does not join them, the TDP and the Jana Sena may opt for an alliance with the Congress.In Andhra Pradesh, the Congress is not the main rival of the TDP and the Jana Sena.

During the last Telangana Assembly elections the TDP had an alliance with the Congress while the BRS is going to have an alliance with the Left in Telangana. So the Congress may not have any objection to having an alliance with the TDP and the Jana Sena in Telangana.

The TDP, Jana Sena plan is to win some seats in Telangana Assembly elections and enter the TS Assembly. If that happens, it will have an impact on the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections also.

The Telangana Assembly elections will help to test the strength of their combination before fighting the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections. Both Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan are sore with the BJP for not showing interest in joining their alliance to fight Jagan in Andhra Pradesh.

If the BJP takes a final decision not to sail with the TDP and the Jana Sena combo, the displeasure of Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan will turn into anger against the BJP. In that case, to prevent the BJP from coming to power in TS the TDP and the Jana Sena may have an alliance with the Congress.

If Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan contest the Telangana Assembly elections together, Kamma and Kapu voters may support them. If the TDP, the Jana Sena and the Congress contest the Telangana Assembly elections jointly their alliance may become the main rival to the BRS than the BJP.

At present both the TDP and the Jana Sena have no representation in the Telangana Assembly. In fact, the Jana Sena has not contested the Telangana Assembly elections so far. The TDP won some seats in both the 2014 and 2018 TS Assembly elections. But the TDP MLAs joined the BRS.

Now Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan are very particular about winning some seats in the Telangana Assembly elections.
