Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu, along with Jana Sena chief K Pawan Kalyan, have promised to revive the Amara Raja company to AP if their coalition is voted to power.
Speaking at an election rally here on Tuesday, Naidu criticised the YSRCP, warning that if they were to remain in power, they would seize land from the people. He labelled the Land Titling Act as burdensome for the common citizens and promised to strengthen the Brahmin Corporation if their coalition secured victory.
Pawan Kalyan echoed Naidu’s sentiments, vowing to protect the sanctity of the hill shrine Tirumala. “YV Subba Reddy and B Karunakar Reddy have treated Tirumala like a commercial venture. Ticket prices were inflated under the guise of Sri Vaikutam,” he criticised.
Kalyan also accused the YSRCP government of driving away Amara Raja batteries from the State. “We commit to bringing back Amara Raja if our coalition is elected,” he affirmed.
Both leaders urged voters to support their respective candidates—Aarani Srinivaslu from JSP, Vara Prasad from BJP for Tirupati MP, and Pulivarthi Nani for Chandragiri MLA.
Meanwhile, a joint TDP and JSP roadshow commenced at Asha Function Hall on Karakambadi Road, winding through Karakambadi Road, Mangalam, Leelamahal Centre, Tilak Road, Gandhi Nagar Road, and concluding at Nalugu Kalla Mandapam. The procession, spanning two and a half hours, saw overwhelming support from the public.
During the rally, a power outage occurred, but the procession continued with the aid of mobile torchlights.
Naidu and Pawan Kalyan remained visible, waving to the enthusiastic crowds throughout.
