Naidu unveils 2025 calendar

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu unveiled the 2025 calendar at his residence in Undavalli on Saturday, commemorating 75 years since the implementation of the Indian Constitution. The calendar honours prominent Telugu leaders who played pivotal roles in drafting the Constitution.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister highlighted the remarkable contributions of Telugu stalwarts. He noted Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu’s fearless leadership during the “Simon Go Back” protests and his role in shaping provisions on local governance and gubernatorial discretionary powers. Similarly, Bhogaraju Pattabhi Sitaramayya’s work in the Constituent Assembly’s Committees on governance and legislative systems in union territories was lauded.
Naidu acknowledged Durga Bai Deshmukh’s recommendations on national language, judiciary independence, and human trafficking.
He also praised Moturi Satyanarayana for his insights on the national language and Acharya NG Ranga’s advocacy for decentralisation of powers, bicameral legislatures, and the formation of Andhra Pradesh.
 Contributions by VC Keshava Rao on land acquisition and anti-discrimination rules were also noted.
The Chief Minister highlighted Alladi Krishnaswamy Iyer’s involvement in nine committees, including the Drafting and Advisory Committees, and his role in shaping citizenship, fundamental rights, and emergency provisions. Mosalikanti Tirumala Rao’s efforts to integrate Gandhian ideals into the Constitution and Kala Venkata Rao’s interventions on property rights and zamindari abolition were also acknowledged.
Chandrababu Naidu remembered leaders like Neelam Sanjiva Reddy, Kalluri Subbarao, and Raja Swetha Chalapathi Ramakrishna Rangarao, whose contributions are showcased in the calendar alongside their portraits and excerpts from their Assembly speeches.
During the event, the Chief Minister also launched official social media accounts for the Andhra Pradesh Legislature, including @LegisAndhra on X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. These platforms aim to provide real-time updates on legislative proceedings and foster public engagement.
Naidu appreciated Speaker Chintakayala Ayyanapatrudu and Deputy Speaker K Raghu Ramakrishna Raju for supporting modern legislative communication. Legislature Secretary-General Prasanna Kumar Suryadevara and other dignitaries attended the event.
