Nara Bhuvaneswari, wife of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, toured Kuppam Assembly constituency to open Anna Canteen. During her visit, she said Naidu has been contesting from Kuppam Assembly seat for over three decades, so she’s thinking of replacing him in the upcoming elections as he needs some rest.
Bhuvaneswari’s comment on the Kuppam seat gained significance as Naidu has been thinking of changing his native constituency for a long time. In this context, Bhuvaneswari’s statement ahead of Assembly elections indicates that Naidu might want to take a break from active politics. During Naidu’s prison time, he submitted documents to the court revealing his medical conditions and needs immediate medical attention. While being in jail, he tried to encourage his son Nara Lokesh to take up the party reins, but in vain and therefore, Naidu had to take the charge soon after his release on bail on health grounds.
Leaving no chance to capitalise on the situation, Minister Jogi Ramesh said that Bhuvaneshwari expressed her heart as all the people of the State hate Chandrababu. The minister responded to Nara Bhuvaneshwari’s comments and said people have decided to give Chandrababu a rest and Bhuvaneshwari is touring the State. The minister remarked that she had observed the aspirations of the people. He said that Bhuvaneshwari did not say this in a lighter note, but she expressed the feeling in her mind.
The minister said that Chandrababu is a person without values and credibility. Chandrababu, who has 45 years of political experience, was unable to field TDP candidates in 175 seats. He restricted TDP to some areas only and has to distribute 50, 60 ACs to Pawan Kalyan and some more to another party. Minister Ramesh said that after observing everything, Bhuvaneshwari’s idea was to push Chandrababu aside.
He said that Bhuvaneswari feels that Chandrababu and Lokesh are useless and as daughter of NTR, she is better and she realised that Chandrababu is a sinking ship.
According to Bharat, YSRCP in-charge from Kuppam, the ruling party has won all the recent local body elections. Latest poll surveys predict a return of YSRCP to power in the State and therefore Naidu is finding an excuse to leave his native constituency.
He said that in Kuppam panchayat elections, out of 28 seats, YSRCP secured victory in 25 seats and only during the YSRCP rule Kuppam became a municipality and also the revenue division which was a long pending demand. Electoral body removed 30,000 bogus votes in Kuppam following a complaint from YSRCP and this dealt a huge blow to TDP.
