The BRS will announce its candidates for the remaining four constituencies and Malkajgiri in a week. The party has finalised names for Jangaon and Narsapur and is waiting for the lists of the Congress and the BJP to finalise its candidates for Malkajgiri, Nampally and Goshamahal.
The party finalised Palla Rajeshwar Reddy for Jangaon and Sunitha Laxma Reddy for Narsapur. It is learnt that the party has hinted to Labour Minister Ch. Malla Reddy’s son-in-law Marri Rajashekar Reddy to be ready to contest from Malkajgiri as its candidate Mynampally Hanumantha Rao had quit the BRS.
The party may soon announce the names of its Goshamahal and Nampally candidates along with the candidates for Jangaon, Narsapur and Malkajgiri in case the BJP and the Congress announce their candidates.If not, it is learnt that the BRS may keep at least Goshamahal pending for some time as the party is expecting leaders of the Congress or the BJP in Goshamahal who did not get tickets may join it. Then it will finalise its candidate in Goshamahal.
It may be recalled that the BRS had announced candidates for 115 constituencies on August 21. However, Malkajgiri candidate Mynampally Hanumantha Rao quit the party on September 22 as he was unhappy with the BRS for not giving a ticket to his son Rohit Rao in Medak.
