Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRAA) Commissioner AV Ranganath conducted a field inspection of Nandagiri Hills, HUDA Enclave and Gurubrahmanagar slum on Tuesday to address alleged complaints of encroachments in the government area for the construction of double bedroom houses.
Residents of Nandagiri Hills and HUDA Enclave reported the illegal occupation of park spaces by encroachers, while residents of Gurubrahmanagar slum raised concerns about land allocated for the construction of 2-bedroom houses being occupied by certain individuals.
Commissioner Ranganath inspected these sites to assess the situation. Speaking to the media, the Commissioner assured that a detailed survey using Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) technology would be conducted to determine the boundaries and verify encroachments.
He also promised a thorough investigation after examining evidence provided by the parties concerned.
The Commissioner, along with other officials, spent nearly two hours touring the affected areas, including government land and parks. The inspection was also attended by local MLA Danam Nagender and other local leaders, who provided inputs on the situation.
The Commissioner emphasised that all complaints would be addressed, and those responsible for the encroachments would face action based on the findings of the survey and investigation.
