It is now official—director YVS Chowdary is launching the fourth generation of the Nandamuri family. Late NTR’s great-grandson, also named NTR, officially debuted with a film launch pooja at NTR Ghat in Hyderabad on Monday.
NTR’s daughters—Garapati Lokeswari, Daggubati Purandareswari and Nara Bhuvaneswari—attended the event, along with several other family members, to bless the debutant with their best wishes. NTR’s sons, Mohana Krishna and Rama Krishna, were also present, joined by many Tollywood directors, producers and celebrities.
The film is being produced by YVS Chowdary’s wife, Geetha, under the newly launched banner “New Talent Roars.” This film marks the first production under the banner. Veena Rao is introduced as the female lead opposite NT Rama Rao in this prestigious project.
“This film being launched at NTR Ghat is a memorable moment for me,” said director YVS Chowdary. “NTR Ghat is a sacred place, and launching the fourth generation of the Nandamuri family—another NTR—at this site brings me immense happiness. It’s not just about the name; the goal is for him to reach great heights.”
NTR’s daughters Lokeswari, Purandareswari and Bhuvaneswari fondly remembered their father, late NT Rama Rao. “He worked hard and treated cinema as a sacred art. That’s why his name stands tall in Indian cinema,” they said. “The fourth generation from our family entering the industry is something our father would’ve blessed from above.”
The young NT Rama Rao expressed gratitude, saying, “I believe my great-grandfather NTR, my grandfather Harikrishna and my father Janakiram are blessing me today. I thank all my family members for coming and supporting me. The affection and love of fans will motivate me to move forward with confidence.”
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his son, Minister Nara Lokesh, also tweeted their wishes for the young NTR’s debut film.
