G John Prasad, Principal Chief Commercial Manager, South Central Railway undertook an extensive inspection of Narasapur and Palakollu stations on Saturday. He was accompanied by V Ravi Varma ACM, Vijayawada Division and other senior officials throughout the inspection.
John Prasad commenced the inspection from Narsapur station and reviewed the passenger amenities available. He inspected TTE Restroom, Booking Office, Circulating area, Catering stalls, and Parcel Office. He reviewed the progress of pending Branch line Doubling and Station development works. He also interacted with the staff about the work environment and the problems encountered during daily work.
John Prasad advised the staff to devise ways and means to improve passenger traffic at Narsapur. Later, PCCM inspected the working of ATVM machines and interacted with the ATVM facilitators about the volume of passengers they are dealing with daily.
Subsequently, he also interacted with passengers and took feedback on the working of the UTS App. PCCM advised the officials to populate the UTS Mobile App among the passengers and increase the share of ticket purchases through UTS App. He also suggested holding awareness campaigns to spread awareness amongst the passengers about the latest updates like distance relaxations and improved ease of purchase through the UTS App.
Later, PCCM and Officials proceeded to Palakollu station and inspected the Passenger amenities at the Station. He inspected booking office platforms and reviewed the progress of station development works and passenger amenities works undertaken at Palakollu as part of the branch line Doubling project. V Ravi Varma, ACM; P Siva Prasad, Sr Commercial Inspector, Ch Diwakar Babu, SMR, Narsapur, T. Ramalingeswara Rao, SMR, Palakollu, other inspectors and staff took part in the inspection on Saturday.
