Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu emphasised that ‘Nation First’ should be the collective motto of all citizens, calling for unity across regions, religions, and ideologies in the face of national challenges. Speaking at an interfaith meeting held at Raj Bhavan in Vijayawada, led by Governor Abdul Nazeer, CM Naidu expressed grave concern over the threat of terrorism to global peace and India’s internal stability.

He condemned the recent brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 innocent tourists, including two from Andhra Pradesh, tragically lost their lives. “This was not just an attack on tourists, but a direct assault on the peace and stability of our nation,” he said. CM Naidu also paid tribute to the martyred Andhra soldier Murali Naik, who died while valiantly fighting in the retaliatory operation at the age of 25.

In his address, Naidu reaffirmed India’s commitment to peace, stating that the country does not provoke or harm others but will respond resolutely to protect its sovereignty and citizens. “We will never tolerate terrorism or violence that threatens our people,” he asserted, calling for national solidarity with the armed forces.

The Chief Minister welcomed the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, which came into effect at 3:30 PM today, calling it a “positive development.” He noted that India had agreed to the truce following Pakistan’s request and reiterated his support for the Centre’s decisions regarding national integrity and security. “The people of Andhra Pradesh will always stand with the Prime Minister and the central government in safeguarding the nation,” he declared.

CM Naidu concluded by stressing the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by the armed forces and calling for a resolution in solidarity with all those who have suffered due to recent hostilities.
