Audiences are increasingly drawn to concept-driven films over traditional commercial, romantic, or action genres. Following this trend, a new mythological, suspense, crime and thriller film titled Yamudu is set to hit the screens. Produced under the Jagannadha Pictures banner, the film features Jagadish Amanchi in the lead role, who also directs the movie. Its tagline is ‘Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah’. Sravani Shetty plays the female lead. The film’s title and first-look poster had already generated considerable curiosity among the public. Freshly, the teaser for Yamudu was officially released. Prominent actor Naveen Chandra unveiled the teaser on Thursday and congratulated the film’s team after watching it. The teaser clearly indicates that Yamudu is a gripping mythological, suspense, crime and thriller film. It hints at girls going missing in the city, with a possible connection to a character who plays Yamudu (the god of death) in stage plays. The teaser creates an impression that Yamudu has descended to Earth to dispense the same punishments usually reserved for hell.
A dialogue, ‘Dharmamthu Sakshat Bhagavath Praneetham’, creates a sense of curiosity that the film is going to present a new perspective based on Hindu Dharma. It feels like the movie has been shaped interestingly around a fresh point drawn from Hindu philosophy. In the teaser, Vishnu Reddy Vanga’s cinematography and Bhavani Rakesh’s background score are particularly impactful. The makers are expected to announce more updates about the film soon.
