An NCC combined training camp began on May 1 at the St Francis College for Women. It is being conducted under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarters in Secunderabad.
The training programme will be conducted till May 10. As part of the programme, cadets are being trained in various activities, including weapons training, map reading, field craft/battle craft and leadership. The cadets will also be put through marching drills, cultural activities, lecture-cum-demonstrations on various subjects and sports competitions. The cadets are also being given an exposure to firing by weapons.
Activities including Swachch Bharat, blood donation, stress management techniques, adventure and career counselling by guest lecturers with expertise in their fields will also be taken up at the camp.
