CPI-M state unit secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram has stressed the need to to defeat the BJP for the survival of democratic secular state.
Addressing the CPI-M plenary held at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram here on Thursday, he told the party rank and file that they should not be under the false impression that the Lord Rama’s Akshatas delivered to the people at their door-step would not convert into votes.
The BRS lost the recent Assembly elections due to its own omissions and commissions. The people, instead of voting for the development initiated in the state by former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, hated his egoism, he noted.
The CPI-M hailed the BRS electoral defeat and welcomed the Congress to form government in Telangana, he said.
The Congress has apparently plans to approach the Lok Sabha elections delaying the implementation of the six guarantees to the people, he observed.
Out of six guarantees, the Congress implemented two but not giving any clarify with regard to the implementation of the the four more guarantees, he said.
On the pretext of the financial crisis, the feasibility of Congress implementing the guarantees appears to be impossible, he said.
Going by the Congress attitude, the CPI-M would have to pay the role of the Opposition in the days to come, he observed.
It is a myth to think that the Congress government would take a pro-poor stance, he said.
