Need to pass down ideals of Maharshi Valmiki to future generatons

Additional Collector P Sreeja emphasised the importance of passing down the ideals of great personalities like Valmiki to future generations.
On Thursday, the Additional Collector inaugurated a programme organised by the Department of Development of Backward Classes at the Collectorate to celebrate the Jayanti of Maharshi Sri Valmiki, the author of the Ramayana. She paid floral tributes to Valmiki’s portrait.
During the event, she stated that Maharshi Valmiki contributed a lot to society by writing the Ramayana, teaching us about human relationships.
Subsequently, the speakers praised the significant aspects of Maharshi Valmiki’s life.
Those attended the evene included District Revenue Officer Rajeshwari, district officials, Collectorate administration officer Aruna, superintendents of various sections in the Collectorate, staff, BC Association leaders Jakula Venkata Ramana and Shakeena, Valmiki Association leaders K Upender Rao, D Srinivas Rao, M Narasimha Rao, President of the National BC Welfare Association Khammam City G Venkata Ramayya, Secretary Gajavelli Lakshmi Varaprasad, Khammam District Working President Lingaboyina Pulla Rao, Chief Secretary Kethanboyina Nageshwar Rao, among others.
