Need to protect environment stressed

City police commissioner B Anuradha planted saplings on the premises of the police headquarters here on Wednesday as part of Vana Mahotsav. Addressing the gathering, the SP appealed to all to plant saplings for the good of posterity. Cleanliness and development of greenery and to create a pleasant atmosphere, the planting of saplings is essential, he said.
She planted 800 saplings on the premises of the police commissionerate here along with the district police officials and personnel. She asked the police personnel to protect every sapling that is planted.
Additional DCP Admin S Mallareddy, Armed Reserve additional DCP Subash Chandrabose, Siddipet ACP Madhu, Husnabad ACP Satish, reserve inspector Purnachander, SB inspector Sridhar Goud, Administrative  and others were present.
