New APNGGO general secretary vows to address employees’ issues

A Vidyasagar was sworn in as the newly elected State General Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted and Gazetted Officers (APNGGO) Association at the Gymkhana Grounds in Gandhinagar, Vijayawada, on Tuesday. The oath-taking ceremony was conducted by APNGGO Association President KV Siva Reddy. Vidyasagar, who also serves as the President of the West Krishna (NTR District) APNGGO Association, was unanimously elected as the state general secretary through a co-option election.
To mark this occasion, the APNGGO Association organised a grand oath-taking and felicitation programme at the Gymkhana Grounds. During the event, APNGGO leaders honoured President Siva Reddy and General Secretary Vidyasagar. Thousands of APNGGO leaders and employees participated in a large procession from the state office to the Gymkhana Grounds. Following the ceremony, Vidyasagar officially assumed his position at the state office.
In his address at the felicitation meeting, Vidyasagar expressed his commitment to engaging with the government in a constructive manner to address employees’ issues. He pledged to diligently fulfil his responsibilities to resolve the challenges faced by employees, emphasising his dedication to advocating for their rights when necessary. He also acknowledged the contributions of his predecessors and reiterated his intention to work hard for the welfare of government employees.
Vidyasagar further expressed his aim to elevate the reputation of the APNGGO Association among employee associations across the country. His primary objective is to address unresolved issues and secure positive outcomes for employees through discussions with the government. To achieve this, he plans to categorise financial and non-financial benefits separately to expedite the resolution process.
Notable figures present at the event included former APNGGO Association President and MLC Paruchuri Ashok Babu, Swachh Andhra Corporation Chairman Kommareddy Pattabhi Ram, Andhra Pradesh Intellectuals Forum President Chalasani Srinivas, APNGGO Associate President Dastagiri Reddy, Senior Vice President DV Ramana, Organising Secretary Jagadeeswara Rao, Treasurer Ranga Rao, APSRTC NMU General Secretary Srinivasa Rao, APTF President Manjula, Pensioners Association President Venkateswarlu, CPS Employees Association President K Satish, Excise Employees Federation president Narasimhulu, and others.
