New biweekly train to Goa to be inaugurated today

G Kishan Reddy,  Minister of Coal and Mines, will flag off the Secunderabad – Vasco – Da – Gama inaugural Express from Secunderabad station on Sunday.  Ponnam Prabhakar, Minister of Transport, will also participated in the programme.
The train also provides facilities for the people traveling towards Karnataka and Goa. The schedule of the train has a convenient train schedule to Goa and other intermediate stations which caters to both reserved and unreserved segment passengers. It provides cost effective transportation when compared with other modes of the transport and offers scope for rail users to plan their itinerary more conveniently.
The train connects Secunderabad, Mahbubnagar, Gadwal, Kurnool City, Dhone with the Vasco – Da – Gama and is being operated for two days in a week in both the directions.
The new train will cover a distance of about 854 Kms in a travel time of about 20 hours in upward direction and 21 hrs in return direction. The train has been inducted with the latest state of the art LHB coaches, which will provide a comfortable riding experience and modern amenities to the passengers.
The train comprises both AC and Non-AC coach
