Niranjan counters CM’s charges against BRS on Palamuru

Must read

Former Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy strongly rebutted Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s charges against the BRS regarding the development of Palamuru (former Mahbubnagar). Responding to the Chief Minister’s comments, Niranjan termed the statements as a result of a “lack of awareness” and emphasised KCR’s unwavering commitment to the district’s progress.
He said that despite numerous legal obstacles created by Congress, the BRS government completed 90% of the Palamuru–Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme, a project that had been delayed for decades.
He pointed out that with just Rs 200 crore more, the project’s electrical works could have been completed, but the Congress government ignored this for 11 months.
Criticising the lack of attention by the CM, he said that while the Chief Minister went to New Delhi and other states numerous times, he did not dedicate even half an hour to reviewing Palamuru projects.
He cited the lack of response when the Vattam Pump House flooded, despite Congress Ministers visiting the site.
Niranjan questioned the Congress government’s priorities, asserting that it neglected crucial irrigation projects that could have provided water to farmers.
He hailed KCR’s achievements in Palamuru, from providing water to over 12.30 lakh acres through irrigation schemes to constructing check dams and providing drinking water to villages.
He pointed out that KCR’s initiatives turned Palamuru from a dry region into a prosperous area by supplying water to thousands of farmers.
Niranjan criticised Congress’s unfulfilled promises to the people, citing its failures in waiving farm loans and job reservations.
