Actress Nithya Menen is in Hyderabad promoting her Tamil film Thalaivan Thalaivi, which is dubbed into Telugu as Sir Madam. The film is hitting the screens this Friday. Vijay Sethupathi plays the lead role, while Pandiraj directs. The film has already released in Tamil and is heading toward becoming a blockbuster.
“I did a film with Vijay Sethupathi earlier where my character was mostly silent. But in Sir Madam, my character is a bit violent,” said Nithya, talking about her role.
The actress later interacted with the media and answered many questions. When asked about her marriage becoming a topic in the Tamil media, Nithya expressed a bit of dissent. “Everyone is asking about my marriage wherever I go. I don’t know why,” said Nithya. She added that both Vijay Sethupathi and director Pandiraj try to convince her. “They tried a lot, as they are all pro-marriage. They try to convince me to get married, but I am not convinced,” she said.

Another person asked her, after doing this film, what her opinion on marriage is. She immediately responded, “What is this Pelli Gola? Why does everyone want to know about my marriage?”
The actress said it’s been a long time since she did a Telugu film. “I am looking for good scripts and if I get them, then I am ready to work in Telugu,” said Nithya. “That’s why I decided to lend my own voice to my character for the Telugu version. It came out very nicely,” she added. Nithya mentioned that the Tamil version was a big hit and expressed hope that the Telugu audience would love the film too.
