The government gave leaks indicating that the Cabinet would be expanded on April 3, but TPCC Chief B. Mahesh Kumar Goud said on Tuesday that they have not announced any dates regarding Cabinet expansion.
Moreover, Mahesh said that they had given their opinions to the high command and that the ball is now in the court of the high command.
However, turns and twists are occurring every day regarding cabinet expansion. Rangareddy district MLAs Malreddy Ranga Reddy, Kale Yadaiah, Rammohan Reddy, Manohar Reddy and others met AICC President Mallikajruna Kharge and AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal
and asked them to give a ministry to Rangareddy district.
They appealed to Kharge and Venugopal to give priority to Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts while expanding the Cabinet. They also asked them to give representation to all the 10 erstwhile districts.
Meanwhile, veteran Congress leader K. Jana Reddy sent a letter to AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal requesting him to give Cabinet berths to MLAs from Rangareddy and Hyderabad districts.
Jana Reddy said in his letter that this will help the people, the Congress and the state’s development.
It may be recalled that Madiga, Lambada and BC community MLAs also sent emails and faxes to Rahul Gandhi, Kharge, Venugopal and the AICC observer in charge of Telangana, Meenakshi Natarajan, asking them to provide a place to them while expanding the Cabinet.
